Shepard Fairey – Obey Sound and Vision

Shephard Fairey - Obey Sound & Vision at Stolenspace Gallery

The street artist behind Obey has been in the scene since ’89 with the first Obey Giant appearing. Since then he has produced a massive amount of print and stencil oriented work which has ended up from the streets to famous cyclist’s houses. Always with a strong message and trying to bring communities together. He’s been doing some murals around East London as well for this show which I’ve heard look great. The show will incorporate music by dj and pioneer of the mashup movement Z-Trip.

The show is open to public 20/10 to 4/11 at Stolenspace Gallery off Brick Lane, London.
The second part of the show is minutes away at The Loading Bay, Dray walk.
Entry is free.

Bedlam

Bedlam by Lazarides Gallery at Old Vic Tunnels - artist: Doug Foster

Probably the most impressive show I saw last year, Lazarides Gallery and The Old Vic Tunnels team up again to bring you great artists in a chilling location. It’s a truly different experience to see the works and installations in these dark, cavernous and humid spaces. This year’s artists include Doug Foster (brilliant visuals), Dan Witz, Conor Harrington and many more.

Bedlam runs form 9 to 21/10 at The Old Vic Tunnels off Waterloo Rail Station.
Entry is free but you need to book a ticket in advance.

Blinc Festival Conwy

Blinc Digital Festival Conwy

This digital and lighting festival in Wales is probably the most intriguing. Uniting arts and technology 30 artists bring Projection, Performance, Audio Scapes, Photography, Film, Interactive Pieces and more to the Welsh town of Conwy. Gwledd Conwy Feast runs at the same time, so great food and impressive art: what more could you want.

The festival kicks off 7pm 26/10 and will run until 28/10 in Conwy, Wales.
